The dummy text "Click here to enter text" is entirely selected after inserting
via Form > Content Control > Plain Text. But it's not selected once the text
has been changed (although I couldn't figure out what exactly this means since
adding a space keeps the behavior).

If the form control contains text everything works like with ordinary
paragraphs and one has to double/triple click for selection. Changing this
might be beneficial in some scenarios while other require no selection. I
wouldn't change the behavior but it also makes sense to follow MSO's example.
