We briefly discussed the topic in the design meeting.

The proposed enhancement is welcome. It needs a before/after example or an
implemented prototype to make educated comments on the design. While
customizing the layouts as requested in bug 78156 would be great, it doesn't
dispense us from shipping good examples.
