You can 'Hide' the SB Deck, putting it out of the way but still running, mouse
click on 'Open' thumb to expose it.
You can reduce the width (hiding elements on the SB) by setting expert config
'MinimumWidth' to false.
Alternatively you can run the floating instance of the Navigator (launch with
the F5 shortcut).
Otherwise the Navigator SB Deck is suited to task with no advantage to changing
its default layout or widget dimensions.
