This additional option would be opposing the core idea of this change.
Light/dark variants are one part of the appearance (with system to allow, for
example, changing the colors at night to dark). The other is how UI and app
colors play together. Users could change some colors in the past but not all
and not dependent on the OS/DE. The new workflow is designed around _themes_
(packed into extensions), and the average user is not expected to fine-tune
individual colors.
