We discussed the topic in the design meeting and at the ESC. Filters have a lot
of attributes and adding another to hide from file browsers wouldn't be an
issue for usability. In fact, some users/companies might not want to save in
non-standard formats. So the proposal is to implement such attribute but leave
it as an advanced feature and defer the UI, if needed, to an extension.
