I'm against changing this behavior toward something like using the fonts in the
current document. You should rather consider using styles.

And it's easy to pick another font by typing the first letters of the name, no
need to scroll down.

Resolving this enhancement request as wontfix, feel free to reopen if you
disagree. If there is an issue on Windows with the following steps I tested on
Linux, please reopen as well. STR: Pick some rare font like Source Code Pro,
restart with a new document, pick some other fonts and verify the not used
being moved down in the recent font list, and eventually dropped out.
