Sure, but PS are an essential part of a text document giving it structure. If
PS/CS are randomly applied to a document you cannot just strip off everything.
(If you really want plain text, the Ctrl+A, X, Shift+Ctrl+V solution works as
well as saving under a different format. Applying Default PS/CS is another
route.)

We solved the issue of messed up styles with the Styles Highlighter and
Inspector. Should be sufficient.
