The issue persists with a nightly from 4 days ago:

Version: 25.8.0.0.alpha0+ (X86_64) / LibreOffice Community
Build ID: 894563ee0e4032019623a97c313af3d833863b1f
CPU threads: 4; OS: Linux 6.6; UI render: default; VCL: gtk3
Locale: en-IL (en_IL); UI: en-US

... but I can see that perhaps some users actually like the left-alignment of
numbers on the right, so that the gap between the text area and the line
numbering is a straight rectangle. So, I think I'm going to unconfirm this one
and open a different bug about controlling line numbering alignment.
