Me too, has been discussed in bug 125931.

The goal is to have a full-fledged properties tab [1] and the elements tab. The
workflow to change the font is different than assembling a formula and a
one-off action. There is no good reason to merge the tabs.

[1] Sounds like a good GSoC project. Do you want to mentor?
