I understand your reasoning that LO should not necessarily offer full Regex
support, given that this can be done through extensions. I can give a helping
hand tlin developing an extension if I am offered help about ODT document
structure ecc.

Regards the duplicate, I have gone through the various bugs and commented upon
them in (6,7 & 9). Otherwise I have not understood what you are referring to.

Regards the new line and existing search limitations (comment 9), it is not my
competence to suggest if they can be tackled on the level of an extension or
else if it needs to be catered for at the app level.
