A get a syntax error in there, i.e. "installer:" vs "installer::" and I
also get an uninitialized value $_ in scalar chomp from line 381 of
languages.pm after applying. If you could fix those up it looks
otherwise perfectly reasonable. 

Any speed you can squeeze out of the install set builder would
definitely be appreciated.
