Ok, this is a very nice goal: I love it!

There is also the XHTML export filter that is XSLT-based IIRC. It would
be nice to unify this one too. For the export filter I have no precise
idea, but for the import, couldn't we try to delegate the HTML / CSS
parsing and the matching of the two to external libs that do it
presumably much better than we do? We would only have to map the result
to the LO internals... thought I have no idea what libs can help us.
