Btw, Tom.... this is a good example as to why a descriptive subject
header is a good idea... I did not notice your original mail, most
likely because 'buglet in 1ec7b6a4' did not ring a bell :-)

a subject like "build error: No rule to make target `autogen.lastrun'"
, for example
would have
1/ attracted -at least- my attention much earlier
2/ would be much more useful to other people that run into that very
same problem, searching an answer in the ML archive :-)

on a side note:

You did actually identify the problem and a solution from the
beginning. Another way to get stuff more/faster attention would have
been to attach a proposed patch to fix it and add [PATCH] in the
subject line.
