Better hold that patch for the moment, I've discovered that mysql supply
source code for the mysql-connector-c which contains the libmysql.dylib,
so I have downloaded that tarball, unzipped it and put a link to it in
my setup (autogen runs on it OK). I will try building with that and see
how it goes.

If this does work, however, it means that the build.lst will need
changing to download the connector-c source tarball for each of the
major platforms, because at the moment the build doesn't do that when
you use the autogen switch. At the moment, I don't know how to change
stuff like that.
