I'm reading through these at the moment, so taking a lock on review,
there's quite a few of them ;-)

I'm not sure about some of the comment removals here and there, i.e. in
0001 the UCASE/UPPER comments and LCASE/LOWER ones looks like they are
reasonable comments to retain.

In an awful lot of places you remove extra blank lines, which isn't a
bad thing, but strays into a mass-whitespace change.
