Broken --with-external-tar on gbuild

i don't use --with-system-libs and use --with-external-tar, and given
the below i think it's working pretty well here:

[0] ms at bastet:/work/lo/master > ls src
ls: cannot access src: No such file or directory

so please investigate a bit more why it doesn't work for you.
