So now that it is known to work on Linux, Mac OS X, and MinGW, I folded 
feature/gbuild_cppuhelper back into master.  I will see to get my two 
temporary hacks ("Temporary hack to work around autodoc bug" and 
"Temporary hack around cppu_detail_getCppuType variants violating ODR.") 
addressed directly on master.
