Ah, I missed[*] Bjorn's point about that this is harder to parse using
sed/grep/awk. Also underscore seems to be acceptable
OK, it seems that the best solution is:
+ 3.X.Y_alphaZ - for alpha releases
+ 3.X.Y_betaZ - for beta releases
+ 3.X.Y.Z - for release candidates
If nobody is against, I would like start using it for 3.6.0-beta2 tags
and source tarballs.
