Hold on!  I knew this seemed familiar, happened the last time I had occasion
to load a LOdev build.

comment 11 from Andras. When I get a moment I'll load the LOdev with
WRITE_REGISTRY=1 and see if that fixes the current build of master.

Andras, do you have any other insights to add on the JRE version and MSVC
2008/2010 runtimes affecting David's MSVC 2010 builds?
