Improvements in text formatting inside comments?

Hello all,

I was going through this GSoC idea:

I completely agree that the printing of comments at the bottom of the
document/page is an issue, since I am also affected by it.

But can someone please  elaborate on 'basic formatting of the text
inside the comment'?
