hi Robert,

indeed that is so, and is right; the problem is that there is a
copy/paste error in a makefile and so the dependency that is supposed to
delay the build of the "extensions" code until the "sane" module is
built (and copies its headers to the right place) does not work.  this
should be fixed now with commit
93ff02a31364bd334d8bee2e4bc6715f9f30d847, please pull and try again.
