Bug 51453: "Equation Frame size linked to caption frame size" should be added
to the list. If you have a caption that's wider than your "formula", either the
caption is wrapped (possibly over several lines) to match the width of the
formula or the formula is scaled to match the width of the frame containing the
formula and the caption. Both of those options look horrible and there is no
good workaround!

of this bug.

This bug was filed in 2005!
