The another (and preferred!) way is to use the same mechanism as the
other settings in the dialog; a similar setting is for example
"PDFViewSelection", do

git grep PDFViewSelection

and see what is needed get the value from the dialog to the filter.
Basically you need to introduce a configuration setting in Common.xcs,
and then use it to store the value / read it in pdffilter.cxx.

Looking forward to see this improvement finalized!
