Consider to have a peek into the latest Microsoft 2013 start center for
excel, word, etc... esp. the size of the tiles and the color background
gradient for each file type.

Sky is the limit: why not have tabs in the StartCenter with

[Recent Files] [Templates] [about:config / Options] ...

Give SC more life.
