Jitesh, please ask specific questions.  (And it might often be easier to ask
them in the IRC channel or on the mailing list.)

(Also, with a large clean-up task like this, there is no real need to assign it
to yourself if you want to work on it.  There is so many places in the codebase
that need clean-up that multiple people could work on it in parallel easily.)
