(No need to call me "sir".) Then there is some other reason, as Markus
said, why that one object file is truncated. Might be hard to figure out in
retrospect what happened, unless you remember rebooting bluntly, or
otherwise interrupting the build. Anyway, simply remove it and run 'make'
again.
