Regarding [Bug 34882] Program a a custom widget

If you create a custom widget and you want to use it in the Glade UI
editor, you will need to give it a constructor function, and add it to the
glade catalog XML file.​

Your best bet is to come hang out on the developer IRC channel and ask
these questions.
