Gmail marks it as spam

The main point I am trying to make here is not if you actively are
subscribed to the list or read the mail archives, but rather this:

If all your email goes to the spam folder for more people than 'just me'
(for example, 'everyone with a gmail account') then you run the risk that
these people aren't even going to see your email to begin with (since not
everyone regularly checks their spam folder). This is probably not what you
want. :)
