XML entity reference

Hello. I have already been studying the code of
SvXMLImportContext
SvXMLImport
FastParser
for a while. However I can not find the code supposed to process the
entity references.
It should be somewhere between the read of the data and the characters() method.
Does anyone know where can I find that code?
