One thing that came up recently was what to do with the plan of having a
built-in auto-update machanism.

There was a tender for this at
<https://blog.documentfoundation.org/blog/2021/08/03/tender-to-implement-autoupdater-202108-01/>,
but it seemed like a full solution requires too much resources, so it
was not awarded to anyone. It would be good to discuss in the *next* ESC
call (not today) what are the next steps there.
