Hello,
This week I've gotten the test for tdf61309 merged
https://gerrit.libreoffice.org/c/core/+/172555
As well as the test for tdf120629
https://gerrit.libreoffice.org/c/core/+/172558
And one last test for tdf89731 that I mentioned last week
https://gerrit.libreoffice.org/c/core/+/172474
At the beginning of the week, after discussing with Hossein, my plan was to
try and recreate some old bugs by building LO on a VM with an older version
of Ubuntu(version 20.4.06). I ended up running into many problems, mainly
around packages such as xmlsecurity. So after giving it an entire day, I
decided to not get blocked, move on for now and continue digging through
the list of Missing Unit tests to try and find some more bugs to reproduce.
For now, this involves finding bugs that can be reproduced by hand, as I've
gone through all of the newer bug reports, that can easily be reverted
using git checkout(etc.). I've been keeping track of each bug report that
has been tried, and if I'm unable to reproduce, why. I plan to summarize
this information in some form when the project is over, as well as write up
a description of the process and all of the information I've learned along
the way, in order to help anyone else wants to write a test from the
Missing Unit Test list.
So as of now I'm in the process of writing tests for tdf141565 and
tdf54862. After these test have been written I may go back and try to build
LO with a different version of Ubuntu on a VM to see if I can succeed or
get different problems.
That'141565s it for this week,
Adam Seskunas
