If I remember right, but I might be wrong, when ffmpeg compiles, if it
doesnt find the vaapi libraries, it automatically builds without them,
and I think there is only one error message in a log.

There used to be some problems with detecting the vaapi libraries on the
system.

This is just something I vaguely remember, but might give you somewhere
to start looking.
