[Libva] Deinterlacing with Intel Core i3 and vaapi

I would like to ask a question. I read that deinterlacing support has
been implemented for Intel HD graphics drivers (
http://intellinuxgraphics.org/2010Q3.html )

My question is that can this be used through vaapi ? Namely i would
like to help xbmc devs to get deinterlacing implemented in XBMC if
possible.
