Did you try to report that on bugzilla.xfce.org? Now would be a good
time, considering 4.12 is currently in development mode.

You can use ~/.xsessionrc for the login stuff (although it's then under
control of the user).

Or put it after 90x11 in /etc/X11/Xsession.d? That way, it will be
executed as $USER *after* the user session has finished.
