So I would have to snag a non-stock set of .deb files or build my own .deb
files, from the source... I wonder what sort of dependency hell that would
entail...
Do the Ubuntu maintainers know about this? Are there plans to back-port the
changes to LightDM for the version shipped with 14.04 or package a newer
version of LightDM for 14.04? In many ways, this is a somewhat serious bug.
Has one been filed under Ubuntu? I know there is one under LightDM, but
unless the Ubuntu package maintainers get involved, Ubuntu 14.04 LTS will
continue to be 'broken'?
