[LightDM] ligtdm sessions

Hello All,

I'm just trying to understand how lightdm and greeter-gtk work together to
let users choose a particular desktop environment and particulary how they
operate to get users preferencies be remembered from sessions to sessions.

I've noticed that when the user name is supposed to be completed (the user
tabs to the password field) the desktop choice is updated in the panel. Well,
but how does it works, what are the files involved ?

Any help would be appreciated.
