Hey,
I'm trying to understand how "system wide" arguments are set. And I'm
kind of stuck.
I don't get how lightdm does to get his PATH variable once logged as
user - I'm on debian stretch (lightdm 1.18.3-1).
I can remove everything in /etc/login.defs at ENV_PATH and
in /etc/profile and still... Logging in lightdm I
still get
"PATH=/usr/local/bin:/usr/bin:/bin:/usr/local/games:/usr/games" - how
is it possible ?
There is NO mention of "/usr/local/games" in all /etc (I did a grep -re
on it to be sure).
How does it work ? I thought every loggin mecanism had to use "login"
which relied on /etc/login.defs ? Is it hardcoded somewhere in lightdm ?
Thanks anyway for the work, I do love this piece of softare compared to
all others DM o/
