The _EXT name of the new macro in vbo_attrib_tmp.h seemed pretty vague
and bothered me a bit.  I was thinking maybe renaming the previous macro
to "_4COMPS" or something and making the 4-component callers use that,
except you also want to reject 10f for the deprecated entrypoints, so
you'd need to use the old variant for them too.  Since I don't have a
concrete suggestion, this series is:
