Indeed, it's reported as https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=69202

I was hoping someone would implement it for Gallium, but I'll look at
implementing it for ir_to_mesa unless someone else wants to do that
too. :)

If we want to revert fd183fa02 in the mean time, that's okay with me as well.
