Welcome to mesa and thank you for the contribution.

You've one of the few people to look into doxygen in a long while and
I hope that you'll have the time/chance to give it some much needed
love. For the future feel free to ping the list if no-one has
responded in a week. We all get distracted/sidetracked sometimes :-)

Both patches are in master now.
