I'm not sure what that means.  You mean the driconf app?

You can also set driconf options as environment variables.  It seems like

R600_TEX_ANISO=16 glxgears

and

def_max_anisotropy=16 glxgears

are basically the same.  The latter, however, has some features that
some users may find useful.  Right?

Either way, it's not my driver, so... :)
