I'm having the same issue but on R7 265 (PITCAIRN) on Arch
OpenGL core profile version string: 4.5 (Core Profile) Mesa 13.1.0-devel
(git-203c879)

Tried linux-4.9-rc5 and linux-next-20161117. Been trying many kernels and mesa
builds before, hoping it would work but havent tried linux-4.9-rc6 yet. Dota2
just hangs the system using wayland, though on Xorg i am able to alt-tab to
terminal and kill the process.
