I'm not entirely sure which strict aliasing violations the compiler is actually
able to detect, especially if they are in different compilation units. Or maybe
in the assembly code even. (In other words, I don't think you can rely on the
warnings.)
So it's probably down to manual inspection. At some point it should be fixed,
but unfortunately I don't have time for it now.
