Hmm... the thing is, there are other tweaks to nir_lower_io that you
might want to do. For example, Ken added the load_barycentric_* and
load_interpolated_input intrinsics to make FS input handling simpler
on i965, and we'd probably want to use them on radeonsi and radv too
to make our lives easier. Of course, we could continue to add more and
more caps for those sorts of things, but at some point it might make
sense to leave nir_lower_io to the drivers, just using a
Gallium-provided type_size function and driver_location like you have
now. Also, it would be a lot easier that way to let the driver decide
what units to express the offset in -- it could just multiply the
driver_offset before nir_lower_io, and use a wrapper around the
Gallium type_size that multiplies the size by the appropriate amount.
