This issue has been encountered on the following distributions:
  1. Fedora 25 - Gnome (Wayland)
       kernel: Linux x86_64 4.8.6

  2. Debian 9 Stretch - Gnome (X11), KDE Plasma 5.8 (X11)
       kernel: Linux x86_64 4.9
       mesa: 13.0

  3. Ubuntu Gnome 17.04 (X11)
       kernel: Linux x86_64 4.10
       mesa: 17.0

Renderer: Mesa DRI Intel(R) Sandybridge Mobile

This problem was observed whenever a window on the screen was resized
(Nautilus, Firefox, Dolphin, etc.) and the content needed to be update.
