vblank_mode=0 glxgears shows a performance regression of about 30% of what I
got
before your patch was applied.
I am using Debian/Sid with
GL_RENDERER = Gallium 0.4 on AMD RS780 (DRM 2.45.0 /
4.7.0-2.1-liquorix-amd64, LLVM 3.9.0)
GL_VERSION = 3.0 Mesa 12.1.0-devel (git-cee459d8)
libGL: OpenDriver: /usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/dri/r600_dri.so
libGL: Using DRI3 for screen 0
Reverting your patch to the previous state fixes this issue.</pre>
