<pre>I am not sure if their amdgpu-pro supports Radeon VII. Have you also tried
ROCm? Their effort is mostly focused around ROCm these days.
You could try it. If you encounter errors, this is their issue page:

You could also pinpoint if there an issue of incompatibility between the
hardware by blacklisting the modules.
