[Mesa-users] gallium3d llvmpipe on amazon ec2 instance

Hi every1

I cannot get llvmpipe/softpipe working on an ubuntu amazon EC2 virtual
machine - that in itself might be out of scope for this list.
However out of curiosity, on Ubuntu 11.04  I can get package
libgl1-mesa-swx11 working that replaces libgl1-mesa-glx. I think this uses
the old/original swrast. Is there a similar method for llvmpipe?

The error is simply

$ LIBGL_ALWAYS_SOFTWARE=1 glxinfo | grep renderer
Error: couldn't find RGB GLX visual or fbconfig

 However this used to say "renderer: Mesa X11" with libgl1-mesa-swx11
