[Mesa-users] Compiling Mesa on Mingw/MSYS (Windows)

Not familiar with mailing lists, sorry if I'm doing this wrong...

I'm trying to compile Mesa3d 9.0 on MinGW/MSYS on Windows XP. GCC version is
4.7.0. I've installed Python 2.7 and Scons 2.2.0. I go to C:/Mesa-9.0/build
and type scons, and it starts to compile, but the compilation stops midway
through. The last few lines:

  Compiling src\egl\main\eglscreen.c ...
  Archiving build\windows-x86-debug\gallium\auxillary\libgallium.a ...
scons: *** [build\windows-x86-debug\gallium\auxillary\libgallium.a] Error 1
  Compiling src\egl\main\eglstring.c ...
scons: building terminated because of errors.

I've tried Mesa3d 8.0.4 as well, and it did exactly the same thing.
Can anyone explain what I'm doing wrong? Thanks!
