Hello, i have a problem but I'm not sure if this is a driver issue. I am
running a virtual machine on a windows host using VMware workstation 17
player. I gave to my VM 6 cores of my i7 8700k, 6GBs of RAM and I'm using
3D acceleration. The guest os is Ubuntu and i can say it is overall very
fast and responsive in terms of performance, however i have an issue with
source engine games. I tried to run half life 2 and half life source and
both have terrible performance (less than 10 fps). I might be wrong but i
think the VM should be perfectly capable of running hl2 at 60 fps, i think
this might be a driver issue. I'm using the SVGA3D Mesa 22 driver. Can this
issue be fixed somehow? Should I just give up trying to run hl2 on the VM?
Thanks for reading.
